Nursing program in need of instructors

The programs on hunt for two full time instructors

The Los Angeles Harbor College nursing program is on the search for nursing instructors and needs them as soon as possible. "The shortage of nurses and nursing instructors is nationwide," said Lynn Yamakawa, Director of Nursing. Nursing jobs are opening across the nation and will continue to rise in the upcoming years. As it grows, LAHC is in dire need of instructors that are willing to take part in teaching the nursing students who will be full filling future positions in the nursing field. The nursing program has grown over the past five years and needs two full time instructors who are able to teach all of the medical and surgical nursing courses as well as participate in the committees and in the clinic. The nursing program receives an average of twenty new students every semester, which is why the applications for instructors are available and is not due to LAHC nursing instructors being replaced or laid off.
