President of the Los Angeles Harbor College Film Club, Genevieve Obodo, will be hosting an event titled, "A Film Inspired Fashion Show" on Thursday (May 22) at 12:35 p.m. in the Seahawk Center.
The LAHC Film Club, members of the ASO, and local high school students came together in an effort to celebrate the glamour of Los Angeles style. The show will be an instructional display of "the costumes of yesterday," said Obodo. She wanted the show to be "something educational" that would demonstrate "how film interacts in our daily lives" through fashion.
Obodo is an Art major who felt she should put on this show as a necessary outlet for herself and "for the arts". She hopes to do an annual fashion show, but stresses that an event like this "takes a team of people" and was grateful for all of the help she received.
