Frequent comingling between students who attend the magnet high school on campus and construction workers has been an on-going cause for concern among faculty, staff, and students.
It's removal has been made necessary by construction of the adjacent Technology Building going up several feet to the West. Construction on the new building is ahead of schedule, and will be hampered if Tech II, originally the campus motor pool, isn't razed. Faculty and staff are expected to scramble to box things up just as finals are upon us.

With its hefty cost, the Fire Evacuation System on campus is under question. During a bomb scare last spring that led to the evacuation of all buildings at the school, the $500,000 system was not put into use and that has led to mounting pressure to do something about it.

Although some of the construction projects, like the new athletic field, have already been approved or are nearing completion, there are still debates surrounding what will begin next.
