The Life Skills Center is hosting a workshops designed to help students learn to become productive and successful in college. It will be held at two convenient times Tuesday, Sept. 16
Los Angeles Harbor College presents "the Lively Art," A collection of contemporary scenes performed by students from the beginning acting play production classes. It will be directed by Larry Heimgartner, Debbie Thureson and Juan Baez. The show runs in the Arena Theatre located on campus at 1111 Figueroa Place in Wilmington for three evenings in October.
This past week, student safety has been at risk. At El Camino College, a female reports being assaulted by a man in a parking lot in his mid- 20's wearing a ski mask. Fortunately, she was able to fend off the suspect; however two females at the University of Southern California were not as lucky.
At the beginning of the summer, we saw gas prices climb to $5 a gallon in some parts of California. Food prices were also hitting record highs as well as everything else. Then, a miracle happened! Gas prices started coming down! Right now, a gallon of regular unleaded fuel is going for $3.

This enormous financial support is the largest gift on record given to the system of community colleges.

Punch Javadifar Los Angeles Harbor College has been undergoing major construction the last few years and as a result parking has been a nightmare this semester. Add to this the higher enrollment rate and students are circling parking lots for hours. The sheriff's department however is doing their part to aid students to get to class on time.
There is a job fair being held in the CSU Long Beach's Student Union Ballroom for all college students on October 9th.
