Harbor gets shot down against Fullerton in the American Bowl, 49-19

Ends terrific season with 9-2 record

Los Angeles Harbor College looked for its first playoff bowl game win in a few years, but ended up falling short of a victory, 49-19 against Fullerton College at Cal State Fullerton. The Seahawks battled pound-for-pound until the first few series' of the third quarter, when things got out of hand.

Record-setting season for the Seahawks comes to an end

A record-setting season for the Los Angeles Harbor College football team season came to a dreadful end last month with back-to-back losses. Despite falling to Fullerton College at Cal State Fullerton, 49-19, on Nov. 21 in the American Bowl, the Seahawks still finished with an impressive 9-2 record (winning its first 9 games and at 9-0 was the last undefeated team in the state standing).

Men's soccer team season ends with playoff loss

The Los Angeles Harbor College men's soccer team ended its season on Nov. 24 with a hard devastating loss, 3-2, over rival Cerritos College, in the second round of the playoffs. It was the third time the Seahawks fell to Cerritos College this season. The Seahawks ended with a 14-6-3 overall record and 8-4-2 in conference play.

The Los Angeles Harbor College basketball team started its season off with a win, beating visiting Moorpark College last Friday, 73-53. Harbor now heads to Barstow College on Saturday (Nov. 14). Game starts at 3 p.m. Freshman forward Kevin Dawson from Redondo High led the Seahawks with 14 points on five of 10 shooting from the field.

The Los Angeles Harbor College men's soccer team will host Compton College in the opening round of the playoffs Saturday 7 p.m. at LAHC. Harbor (13-5-3) placed seven players on the 2009 all-Mountain Conference team. Compton is 9-10-1. First team selections were: Moises Balderas (defense), Alex Chavez (forward), and Eric Medina(forward).

Los Angeles Harbor College men's soccer team got knocked around en route to a 5-1 loss at the feet of visiting Mt. San Antonio College. The Seahawks struggled while trying to keep up with Mt. Sac's quick play from all over the field.

With just two games left on the season, the Los Angeles Harbor College football team will play its final home game vs. Mt. San Jacinto College, Saturday Nov. 7, before playing at San Bernardino Valley College in the season finale. The Seahawks look to maintain its undefeated mark for the season. Game starts at 6 p.m. The Seahawks picked up yet another win, in an embarrassing blow out over hosting Compton College 72-0. Improving its record to 8-0, 5-0. Harbor led 52-0 at halftime, after scoring 40 points in the second quarter alone.

Los Angeles Harbor College football team raised its record to 7-0, beating visiting San Diego Mesa, 42-31, Saturday night. The Seahawks jumped out to a commanding 29-0 lead at the time, but wound up leading 29-14 at the half. In the second half San Diego Mesa cut Harbor's lead down to 35-31.

The Los Angeles Harbor College Seahawks football team beat hosting Victor Valley College 27-13 on Saturday, to stay undefeated, with just four games remaining on the season. The Seahawk defense won the game, forcing three turnovers as the offense was being shut down for most of the game.

5-0 Seahawks head to Victor Valley

Los Angeles Harbor College, riding a five-game winning streak, plays at Victor Valley College Saturday in a Mountain Conference football game. Game time is at 1 p.m. Victor Valley is (2-3, 1-1), and, like Harbor (5-0, 2-0), was idle last week. The Seahawks are averaging 51.2 points a game.
