Comedy: Show Me The Funny

"That which is comedy, brings light to tragedy," that's my opinion on comedians and everything they do. If you think about it, comedy was meant to bring laughter to the tearful, energy to the downtrodden and joy to the sorrowful. In fact if you look back at Shakespearian theater for every one tragedy, there was at least one comedy. Comedy nowadays doesn't exactly mean the same thing but it brings the same purpose. Comedians are the muse for everyday life; they are the punch line in society.
The best comedians are those that take the doldrums of their life and take them by the horns. If you look the comedians of back in the day like Redd Foxx or Richard Pryor, they take what they've been given and they use it to their advantage. The best example of this in the modern-day are "The Original Kings of Comedy", Bernie Mac, Steve Harvey, Cedric "The Entertainer" and D.L Hughley. I watched the special and there was this one joke that I absolutely love it was by Cedric The Entertainer it was about wishing and hoping when it comes to going out to places like the movies, he stated that there are two different creeds. One group of people go by the "Hope" Creed, which means that they "hope" things don't go wrong, Black People however, go by a totally different creed…The "Wish" Creed, which means they wish a person would mess with them so that they wish they could can retaliate.
Another group of comedians that I think are absolutely hysterical are the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" guys. The list includes Larry The Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, Ron "Tater Salad" White and my personal favorite... Jeff Foxworthy. There are certain quirks about each of them that are perfect about them. The first is Bill Engvall and the "Here's Your Sign Jokes", which usually pertain to people doing something stupid. Then there's Ron "Tater Salad" White, who's a gray-haired fox with slight discrepancies, next is Larry The Cable Guy whose shtick is a three word statement that says it all "GIT ER DONE" which is self-explanatory and finally there's Jeff Foxworthy, whose famous for "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader", which is a show that test adult knowledge of school subjects and if the contestant loses they must say the following statement "My name is [insert name here] and I AM NOT SMARTER THAN A FIFTH GRADER. One final comedian that I sorely overloked was Gabriel Iglesias, who was a contestant on "Last Comic Standing" until he got disqualified for bringing a blackberry [communication] on the show. He's got this thing about the 7 types of fat which are Big, Fat, Hefty, Healthy Husky, Fluffy and...Damn [the latter of them being so big that you can't even fit into a roller coaster at an amusement park, he places himself under the category of...fluffy, I'm one of the seven types of fat as well, I'm the Healthy Fat , i'm big but I try to work out, meaning I TRY TO RIDE A STATIONERY BIKE FOR 80 MINUTES [40 minutes in the morning 40 at night but the closest I can get is about 30 minutes]
Comedy is a means that brings us together for showing us how what we see as faults are actually blessings in disguise. It explains that our faults make us who we are and we should appreciate each other for what we bring to the table and not our physical shell.
