The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising is holding its 16th Annual Art of Motion Picture and Costume Design Exhibit at the FIDM Museum and Galleries on the Park in downtown Los Angeles through April 12. The collection has over 125 costumes from 25 movies and honors the talent and detail of Hollywood's most skilled costume designers.

Los Angeles Harbor College cheerleaders will host a car wash fundraiser at Big Lots in Gardena, Crenshaw and Rosecrans, Saturday (March 15). Cheerleaders will be selling refreshments from 8 a.m. to noon. Car washes start at $5. All proceeds go toward cheerleader transportation costs to sporting events next semester.
Thursday ( March 13) Los Angeles Harbor College campus welcomes Byron Smith in an applied recital. The recital will be held in the Music Recital Hall at 12:45 P.M. Byron Smith is best recognized as a top motivational speaker using his climb of Mount Everst as a main topic.
The phone company that held the contract with the college cancelled the contract, saying that LAHC wasn't profitable enough.
Fresh gourmet good is now available for breakfast and lunch at Harbor College. Arturo Quesada, one of the head chef instructors in the Culinary Arts department , said that the food is made from scratch daily by our students. They even make the fresh pastries and coffee cake that are available.
The Los Angeles Harbor College sheriff department is currently offering escort service for all students, faculty and administrators. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Service is available on request.
